Carter Bjerke Scouting Report
Carter Bjerke a 2022, 6’8 forward out of Wayzata Minnesota should be quickly rising up recruiting boards. He has broad shoulders to fit with a larger frame which makes him an above-average rebounder for the high school level. Despite his frame, he runs the floor well in transition to create affective offensive spacing. One of the biggest strengths Bjerke has is his ability to shoot the three-ball as well if not better than most guards I have scouted. His three-point ability makes it difficult for the defense to track him as Wayzata has many playmakers in the backcourt. As a Sophomore Bjerke averaged 14.3 points and 5.9 rebounds in a very challenging "Lake Conference" that has many other Division I talents.
I fully expect Bjerke to be recruited by high-level Divison II schools but has a great opportunity to catch the eye of many Division I coaches as he plans to play with the nationally ranked D1 Minnesota AAU team this summer.
As far as recruiting goes it does not appear that he has any offers. He was however invited to the Minnesota Golden Gophers basketball practice in August of 2019 (Darren Wolfson). He is surely a name to keep an eye on.
